Goodbye London!

Hello everyone! Today we got back from London. It was a sad goodbye because we had such a great time! After our Sunday outing and the Legoland excursion, we spent yesterday by putting the British weather to our best advantage.

In the morning, the sun was shining and thus we took our son to one of the nicest urban playgrounds I have ever been to: the Diana Spencer Children Playground in Kensington Gardens. There were different settings for many adventures, including a pirate boat sailing through sea-serpents-infested waters. We tried to have lunch at the nearby Orangery, which has a magnificent indoor setting adorned by orange trees but an incredibly unfriendly staff and no kid options. We thus ended up having lunch at the Lido, where we enjoyed a traditional fish and chips once more.

As the weather turned rainy, as it had been forecasted, we headed towards the Natural History Museum in South Kensington. What a wonderful surprise to discover there a real-size animated T-Rex! My son was a bit scared but we all agreed it was so cool!

We ended the day, and the vacation, in style with the Lion King musical. It was more spectacular than I had imagined and my son (who loves the movie as well) is still talking about it. And would you believe that in between all these activities I managed to do some shopping as well? More about it in the next post.
